When driving
north on Interstate Hwy 90, take Piney Creek Exit 44. Go under the
interstate and travel 5 miles NW toward the mountains. Turn left into Story just before the
Chuck Wagon gas station and convenience
store.
When traveling
south on the interstate, take the Meade Creek Exit and go west (toward
mountains) 1 mile. Turn left (south) onto Hwy. 87 at the Conoco “Tank
Farm”. Go approximately 8 miles down this road. It will lead past the
old Banner Store and then wind up Tunnel Hill. At the top of Tunnel
Hill, turn right into Story after passing the Chuck Wagon gas station.
About ˝ mile down
this road, look for a large sign post with business names and then turn
right onto the main business street of Story (No. Piney Road). You will pass the Lodore Restaurant , Piney
Creek Store, the post office, and the library. At the end of the main
street (about 5 blocks long) turn right at the red church, followed by
an almost immediate left into the parking area of Pinewood Cottage. The
shop is a brown house with tan trim and decorative shutters. Walk over
the footbridge and enter by the front door. We will be ready with a big
Western Welcome!
